Friday was the best science project ever! My project went well. I did mine with Bryson.

Pull a string project

Machine day
On Friday we showed our machines. After we showed our them Mrs. Rawaldt said we had to connect them. I was near Katie's and Josie's machine. It looked like we might be able to connect them. So I asked them if we could work together. Katie said we should. So we thought of how we could connect them. I thought we should use a ramp to put the two machines together. We all thought that was a good idea. I had some cardboard that I didn't need so we tore it up and made a ramp. We began to cut a hole in the ramp so the golf ball could fall through it. But we relized that the tennis ball wouldn't be able to roll over the bump of card board. We where told to conect ours with Keegan's. So we used the original ramp from Katie and Joise's project and we put Keegan's machine down so the big marble could go into their machine. Then we put the tennis ball at the very edge of my machine and put the golf ball on the hole. The hole was not big enough for the golf ball to go in it. I had to put a little ramp in mine so it would go in the right spot. We where ready to do the big machine. Even though it did not work all the time it was fun.
Awesome Machines
I thought that Friday was really cool with all the machines. It was hard to get around the classroom though. But the day went pretty good. I liked all the projects they all looked awesome.
Rube Goldberg
Through all the craziness of Friday I found it all as a good time. I think it was a great first big science project, and wouldn't mind doing it again. I believe it's good for us to get our hands on what it's like to be an inventor. I think all the projects were interesting, even though some were bigger than others. I also think the idea of connecting all the machines together is genius, even though there all not technically connected. Even though acassonally some part of the machine will fail, most of the machines worked really well.
Friday started out by setting up your machine. After that it was looking and watching other people's machines. Then came the connection, and after that it was over. So really all that work for weeks did pay off. One thing I'm pretty sure everone learned from Friday is, Never use a whole pack of dominos on a foam board.
Pull a string project.
Pull a string project was a fun way to get together with Katie for this pull a string project. I saw this video and I told her my plan.Thogether me and her together all morning, well it felt like it.
The machine
I thought that our machine was cool but it didn't always work. The marble always got stuck in the beginning of the tube. The whole thing and day was awesome.
