Mitchell's Inquiry - Marshmallow

1.  Why do marshmallows grow in the microwave?

• I learned that if you put a marshmallow in the microwave it expands.
• I learned that marshmallows grow in a small place with heat.
• I learned that when you take it out it shrinks.

3.  My hypothesis is the marshmallow will grow in the microwave.

5.  It tasted good.  It was bigger.  

6. My hypothesis was right because I have done it already. If you heat up marshmallows in a small place it will expand. The heated air in the marshmallows makes it expand.
